Just this Monday, November 18th, Paga reported that it now has over 1 million users.
The Mobile payments service provider in Nigeria recorded a transaction value of N18bn from over 1.6 million transactions at the end of March 2013. The financial services platform started operation in April 2009 and received its full operational licence from the Central Bank of Nigeria in November, 2011
In Techoy’s discussion with the company’s CEO, Tayo Oviosu, he said that 33% of its over 1 million users actively use the service monthly, which means that about 330,000 people currently and actively use the service to pay bills, transfer funds and buy phone credits.
