EdVentures has donated $400,000 in cash and in-kind services to OTO Courses, an Egyptian edtech business, to help it improve its offering and attract more clients.
The company was founded in 2015 by Ahmed Badr and Tarek Nour El-Din. Individuals and corporations interested in learning general & specialized English courses can use OTO Courses’ online learning platform.
About 350,000 hrs of online English training have benefited over 15,000 people.
The firm currently employs over 150 academics and lecturers and is trying to expand its services, therefore it has raised more cash to augment the funds raised last year.
EdVentures, a corporate venture capital firm created in 2017 by Nahdet Misr Publishing House to support and invest in education, cultural, and creative learning solutions firms, provided this recent funding in the form of cash and in-kind donations.
With the firm’s purpose of bridging the gap between traditional education and also what the labor market wants by providing high-quality education to everyone, wherever, and at any time, the teachers involved have been carefully recruited and trained.
Learners can also choose their own session dates and communicate directly with teachers.
As a result, the funds will be used to develop OTO’s platform & expand its services to a wider group of users, notably middle and secondary school students, by providing educational programs in a number of other fields or disciplines.
“We will continue to give our consumers high-quality services at the most affordable prices possible so all segments could benefit from our platform,” OTO’s co-founder & chief commercial officer stated.
EdVentures’ CEO and founder, Dalia Ibrahim, says OTO has proven its worth over time.
She went on to remark that the company’s founders were successful in regularly upgrading the platform to improve the effectiveness of its services.
“We’re making this commitment right now to assist OTO in providing high-quality distance learning services to thousands of students,” she said.
