Nigeria’s legislative arm of government is planning to launch a platform that would allow citizens to get in touch with the lawmakers and contribute ideas on how to move the nation forward. This is expected to meet the yearnings of #OpenNASS vanguards.
Speaking while hosting youth members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who paid him a courtesy visit, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, said the current set of lawmakers are committed to allowing all citizens to contribute to their deliberations.
It would be recalled that there has been incessant calls for the Nigerian government, especially the legislative arm to be more open as a way of achieving transparency, accessibility and citizen participation in governance. The campaign is largely tagged #OpenNASS
