Former Konga Marketing Executive, Onyeka Akumah, has launched an online publishing arm, African Media Works, of his company, ANOZIM. African Media Works was created to build fresh and interesting African content online.
According to him, “There are many things I love about the internet but there are two that stay with me always – media and e-commerce. In building sustainable media platforms, we have decided to launch AMW (African Media Works) to create and curate content for Africans while generating employment opportunities for others.”
To kick start the new venture, ANOZIM’s African Media Works acquired misstechy.com, Nigeria’s leading female creative tech blog citing the freshness and wittiness of the platform as a competitive advantage in the male-dominated space. However, financial details of the deal was not disclosed.
Mr Akumah states that “Given the clamour for increased women participation in tech, it’s great to see and support another young lady blazing the trail through tech media.”
Misstechy.com was founded by Miss Tobi Ayeni
ANOZIM is still actively searching for promising online content platforms to acquire or partner.
