African Financial Company and NGO, Ogooue Labs has signed a 250 million CFA francs agreement to run a StartX241 Incubator program in Gabon. Ogooue Labs will team up with Pan-African Microfinance house, Cofina, in the project.

The programme will kick off in December with 10 tech startups involved, it will also recruit and train 20 entrepreneurs from Gabon in the best startup management practices. The aim is to integrate 40 young Gabonese into these startups.

The African Financial Company will also support entrepreneurial development across the Central African region. The new programme will also expose tech startup products to French-speaking countries across the continent.

Sylvère Boussamba, the founder of Ogooué Labs described the agreement as the “beginning of a strategic partnership for Gabon which is launched in the digital transition.”

The StartX241 program will empower 20 Gabonese entrepreneurs and help them with digital entrepreneurship training. A strategic partnership with Hemera, an accelerator based in Bordeaux will ensure the trainees are ready for recruitment within Gabon.
