Uber has launched a new service called Uber Comfort. With the new service, you get the following features:
- Newer, Mid-Size Cars: Arrive in comfort with a car that meets consistent vehicle make and model standards.
- Extra Legroom: Uber Comfort rides will have minimum legroom requirements so you can stretch out and have the space you need.
- Rider Preferences: You can request your ideal temperature in advance and let your drivers know when you’re looking for a quiet ride so you can stay comfortable on the road.
So if you want extra peace and quiet, you can now select Uber Comfort. But wait a minute, does it mean some customers have been complaining about chatty Uber drivers? Uber is now saying that these customers can get this service by paying 20 -40% extra premium atop the UberX price.
Apart from this feature, you can request for the right temperature setting before the Uber ride gets to you.
This collection of rider preference features is unique from those found in Uber Black and Black SUV rides, which provides you access to more exclusive in-app options such as request help with luggage, premium support, and pickup by professional drivers.
Yesterday the Uber Comfort tier launched in 43 cities and smaller states in the U.S. plus Ottawa. However it is not yet available in Africa.
