Finnish Multinational Communications and Information Technology Company, Nokia has sent out invites for the launch of a Virtual Reality product at a  “NOWHERE” event in Los Angeles on July 28. There are rumours that Nokia plans to launch a VR of its own.

Visual Reality according to Wikipedia, can be referred to as immersive multimedia or computer-simulated life, replicates an environment that simulates physical presence in places in the real world or imagined worlds. Virtual reality can recreate sensory experiences, which include virtual taste, sight, smell, sound, and touch.

‘NOWHERE’ and ‘NOW HERE’ are the words used as invites in the image body with a cropped image of VR headset.

Big Tech companies like  Microsoft, Sony, Samsung, HTC, Lenovo and Facebook have already embarked on massive and ambitious VR projects.

On April 25, 2014 Nokia Devices and Services business was acquired by Microsoft Subsidiary, Microsoft Mobile Oy responsible for Lumia, Asha and Android-based Nokia X phones , and other unspecified devices.

Based on recent developments, Nokia has made moves to re-enter the smartphone market again. We can only hope that this VR thing works out for them.
