UfarmX, an agricultural platform that connects farmers with quality inputs and market access, has partnered with sustainable energy solutions provider, Africa GreenTec. This collaboration is aimed at supporting female farmers in Senegal who are dealing with the impact of climate change.

The partnership plans to launch a pilot program providing solar-powered storage containers at subsidized rates to women farmers. Contrary to traditional models that demand outright purchase, this initiative offers a more affordable and accessible solution, empowering farmers while also combating climate risks.

Alexander Zanders, CEO of UfarmX, stated their collaboration with Africa GreenTec showcases a united commitment to innovation, sustainability, and empowering local communities, all aimed at combating climate change’s impact on agriculture.

Africa GreenTec’s solar solutions offer a sustainable alternative to conventional energy sources, promoting clean, dependable electricity, reducing carbon emissions and environmental harm. With UfarmX’s agricultural platform, this integration enhances productivity, efficiency, and resilience within Senegal’s farming communities.

Anna Ndiaye, managing director of Africa GreenTec, sees their partnership with UfarmX as a comprehensive approach to support women farmers, addressing climate change challenges and post-harvest issues.
