Edusko.com, major online solution that connects parents and students with good schools within and outside Africa has constituted an advisory board to serve its users better. In a statement issued to the press, Edusko’s founder, Jide Ayegbusi said it became necessary to constitute an advisory board and partner with foreign school agents going by the needs and expectations of Edusko’s users.
“Over the past six months, our users’ base has increased tremendously and this has also translated to increase in their needs and expectations. To meet these needs and expectations, an experienced board becomes absolutely necessary”. Jide continued, “This therefore means that better services and fulfilment await our users as they continue to make edusko.com their trusted partner in the African education sector.”
Members of the advisory board are: Dr. Ghalib Fahad, a renowned educationist, foreign university expert and director in one of the leading international schools in Africa; Mr. Alex Goma, managing director at PZ Cussons Nigeria; Dr. Nun Aiyegbusi, managing director at EU Medicare Ltd. UK.
Others include Mr. Ilori Olushola, Principal Consultant at ELLA Educational Services and Registrar, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta International School and Dr. Omoyajowo Babatope, a renowned educationist at Ekiti State University, Nigeria.
In addition to the advisory board, the start-up is also partnering with leading foreign university agents to ensure seamless experience for parents and students seeking foreign admission.
“We are not just providing a platform to help African parents and students choose the right schools for free, we are also rendering services to deepen our relationships with them. Users who are unable to find their choice schools on edusko can still reach out to us and they’ll get connected with good schools across the globe”, said Jide
Edusko was launched in 2015 to help parents and students find and choose good schools amidst thousands jostling for their attention. In less than eight months of launch, the start-up has helped over 20,000 parents made informed decisions and had referred over 500 students to good and affordable schools in Africa and beyond.
Already, leading schools in Africa and beyond have been signed up on edusko.com. Schools ranging from Crèche, Nursery and Primary, Secondary, Tertiary to Special schools in Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, UK, Canada and United States are freely available for finders on edusko.com.
