Nigeria’s leading online taxi company, Easy Taxi, is the latest African startup to be featured on international news channel, CNN’s Africa Start-Up, a new programme that illuminates Africa’s startups and entrepreneurs.
The Easy Taxi app has global operations with operations around the world and was founded in Nigeria by Bankole Cardoso.
“It’s as easy as the name is. I wanted it to be simple for customers, very easy for users to download the app and request a taxi at a click”, Cardoso stated on CNN Africa Start-up.
In the long term, he said the innovation would change the taxi culture in Nigeria with hopes to standardize the pricing of taxis in the country.
“Demand is catching on. I’m bringing a completely new model, a completely new idea to Nigeria, it’s not where we want it to be yet but it’s getting on” Cardoso added.
