The AfriCaribbean Investment Summit (AACIS), which was hosted by Abuja-based Aquarian Consult Limited under the direction of Aisha Maina, helped to establish the visa-free travel arrangement. Agreements to strengthen bilateral cooperation were inked during the summit between Prime Minister Terrance Drew of St. Kitts and Nevis and Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Both leaders highlighted efforts to increase commerce, investment, tourism, and cultural exchanges in addition to the visa waiver, laying the groundwork for a closer partnership between the Caribbean and Africa.
