Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) has unveiled Nigeria’s First Locally-Made Electric Vehicles. Cornel Osigwe, Innoson’s Head of Communications and Corporate Affairs, first announced this some days ago but he did not show us images of the electric vehicles.

Now the company has shown us images of the electric vehicles on its website. The company explained the reason for going electric:

“Electric vehicles aren’t just the future—they’re the present. With increasing global awareness of environmental impact, reduced emissions, and a need for more efficient energy use, switching to an EV is one way to contribute to a greener world. But it’s not just about being eco-friendly. EVs also offer lower running costs, reduced maintenance needs, and a quieter, smoother ride. Innoson is here to give you the best of both worlds: sustainability and luxury in one package.”

Here are the 4 Electric Vehicle Models:

    1. Innoson IVM Link (201-230KM Range)
This 5-seater electric vehicle is equipped with electric steering, front airbags, full air conditioning, power windows, and a multimedia system for maximum comfort. The IVM Link offers a reliable 201-230KM range on a full charge.

    2. Innoson IVM EX02 (330-400KM Range)
The IVM EX02 is the flagship electric model. According to Innoson, it is the epitome of luxury, performance, and efficiency. With a powerful 330-400KM range, you can enjoy longer trips without frequent recharges. Features include electric steering, front airbags, full air conditioning, power windows, and an advanced multimedia system. The automated rear-view mirror and remote control lock with sensors add to the premium feel of the vehicle.

    3. Innoson IVM EX01 (201-230KM Range)
For those who seek a balance between performance and affordability, the IVM EX01 offers a 201-230KM range with all the essential features that make driving an Innoson electric vehicle a pleasure. This model comes with a multimedia system, air conditioning, and electric steering. It’s perfect for daily commuting and city driving.

    4. Innoson IVM EX02 (Alternative Price Option)
For those interested in the IVM EX02’s advanced features but looking for a more affordable option, Innoson also offers a version of this model. With the same 330-400KM range and full luxury features, this model makes electric driving even more accessible.

Innoson’s electric vehicles (IVM EX01 and EX02) offer long-range capabilities of 201-400KM, ensuring seamless travel with minimal recharging. These eco-friendly vehicles prioritize comfort and safety with features like electric steering, airbags, and advanced multimedia systems. By choosing Innoson EVs, drivers contribute to a cleaner environment, as they produce zero emissions and provide a sustainable alternative to traditional petrol vehicles.

Innoson says it is actively working on expanding charging station infrastructure across the country to support the growing adoption of Electric Vehicles.

Nigeria’s electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing industry is gaining momentum, driven by government initiatives. Despite challenges like infrastructure and funding, the industry holds promise for job creation, economic growth, and reduced emissions, with government support and growing consumer demand expected to drive significant growth.
