    Nigerian venture capital firm Venture Garden Group (VGG) has joined forces with Ascend Studios and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to launch the Africa Creative Blueprint (ACB). This initiative is designed to provide innovative capacity-building resources and skills to help women and youth thrive in Nigeria’s creative sector.

    The Africa Creative Blueprint aims to empower Nigerian youth with the necessary skills and resources to compete effectively in the creative industry and elevate Nigerian creatives to the international stage. The program offers dynamic, hands-on training to bolster Africa’s creative economy. Upon completion, 200 skilled participants will join the production of a 13-episode TV drama, creating over 200 full-time and part-time jobs during the production phase.

    This partnership is set to catalyze additional funding to strengthen Nigeria’s burgeoning Nollywood industry. Additional partners in this initiative include renowned music executive Ralph Simon and Paramount Nigeria.

    Bunmi Akinyemiju, CEO and co-founder of Venture Garden Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating;

    We are always committed to efforts that nurture the promising talents Africa possesses. This collaboration represents a milestone for the Nigerian creative sector and an opportunity for Venture Garden Group to drive impact in African creativity on a global platform. Through this initiative, we are building the infrastructure needed to develop world-class creative talent capable of transforming the industry.

    The Africa Creative Blueprint is poised to make a significant impact on Nigeria’s creative sector, providing essential training and job opportunities while fostering the growth of the country’s creative economy.

    Applications are open here until December 15.
