Nigerian Twittersphere react to President Buhari’s Gaffe about Germany.

Nigerians on Twitter have not been kind to the President for the mistake he made about Germany at a recent press briefing about G7 summit.

President Muhammadu Buhari unintentionally referred to Germany as “West Germany” and talked about meeting with German president “Michelle” at the G7 summit. Indeed he was referring to German Chancellor, Angela Merkel.  By the way, the president’s name isn’t Michelle – it’s Joachim Gauck.

Here are some of the mean tweets:

Was he referring to Michelle Obama as the leader of West Germany.

Who else could this mystery Michelle be?#WestGermany

Written speeches, well packaged advertisement and PR brought him to power but when real time event unfold…na #WestGermany tins.
