Nigerian startup VoomNow founded by Samuel Joseph just last month is a platform that provides its users with assisted shopping with companies outside of Africa.
Samuel Joseph explained that roughly 60 percent of Nigerians were unable to reach big companies based outside of Africa because their local credit and debit card would be rejected.
The platform also takes it a step further by offering shipping services from those companies to Nigerians who order products from outer companies.
Some of these American or UK-based companies include the likes of Facebook, iTunes, PayPal, Netflix, and Amazon. These companies are some of the biggest names and this platform not only helps the companies receive more profit, but also Nigerian citizens who were craving the international goods and services that these companies provide.
VoomNow has a few competitors in their field such as Mall4Africa and ShoptomyDoor. VoomNow offers unique user-friendly features. These features include giving their buyers seven days to pay before the platform proceeds with the deal, notifications of delivery status, and 24/7 online assistance.
Joseph explains further that the platform is on the rise as it receives positive reviews and interested new customers every day. The company closely monitors their internal functions, constantly improving themselves.
The platform ensures that the payment process is painless and easy. Any product, no matter the size, will be delivered right to your doorstep. They don’t have to worry about going out to some store and pick it up.
