Nigerian Online Startup EMBiNIX Automation has launched to design, develop and produce automation products for homes and businesses to make life easier, faster and safer.
The smart consumer electronics production company which was launched in February 2016 by Charles Adure creates smart consumer electronics that are designed to enable users live smart lives, cutting across every facet of their lives whether it means enjoying night rest, connecting with their home or office on-the-go, getting jobs done at the right time, family members always having what they need, keeping kids safe and getting more done with less effort, EMBiNIX Automation is set up to ensure all these.
Speaking in an interview with Innovation Village on what inspired the setting up of the company, the Founder, Charles said, “The setting up of EMBiNIX was motivated by the need to create dynamic technological solutions that will be of need to homes and businesses and through that realize our entrepreneurial dreams and create employment opportunities for Nigerians and Africans.”
According to the founder, EMBiNIX is a business with an attractive product line, well integrated manufacturing and logistics with close relationship with distributors, a culture of responsiveness to customers and the capability to produce continuing product innovation.
He also stated that EMBiNIX Automation is focused on giving customers convenience, safety and help prevent waste.
The company has also been doing very well business wise with very healthy product sales and expansion in man power and in operations.
“We have been able to sell our products across Nigeria with revenue in millions. We have been able to expand from a team of two to fourteen; expanding our operations from Delta State to Lagos State,” Charles disclosed.
The company’s range of products include: smart changeovers, smart pump, smart light etc.
Commenting on the Challenges encountered so far since launch, he said, “At the beginning we had challenges with our target market doubting our capacity to provide the solutions that we were promising.
But over time we have been able to build trust on our brand with our customers currently using our products. One major success is being able to expand our operations from Delta State to Lagos where we have a higher concentration of our target market.”
While counseling aspiring entrepreneurs, he said, “My advice to prospective entrepreneurs out there is that the challenges to starting a business in Nigeria are real therefore they need be ready to face them boldly on a daily basis. They also need to know that it is better facing these challenges with a partner than as a one man squad.”
Speaking on future plans, the founder said, “Our future plan is to become the leading hardware and software automation company in Nigeria by 2019. From then we will be set on taking on entire world starting with other African countries.”
