The Nigerian educational technology startup Dexude has recently been awarded the Business Finland TEMPO funding, a significant financial boost aimed at enhancing its mission to make high-quality education accessible to all and to empower students in Nigeria and other regions.

Dexude was co-founded by Kelvin Chikezie and Charles Emembolu. It is an innovative platform that integrates artificial intelligence to provide a live, expert-led, and community-centric educational experience. This platform enables learners to engage directly with prominent experts and thought leaders, facilitating learning through a convenient, mobile-friendly interface.

Business Finland, the Finnish government’s agency responsible for supporting innovation, as well as promoting trade, investment, and tourism, offers the TEMPO funding. This funding program is specifically designed to support startups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and mid-cap companies that are targeting international expansion.

With the receipt of this grant, the amount of which has not been disclosed but can reach up to EUR60,000 (approximately US$66,000), Dexude is set to expedite its growth initiatives not only within Nigeria but also in other markets.

Kelvin Chikezie expressed his gratitude and excitement about receiving the Business Finland TEMPO funding, highlighting it as a pivotal moment for Dexude. He emphasized that this achievement reflects the company’s dedication to using technology and innovation to transform the educational landscape, making learning more accessible and effective. Chikezie also extended his appreciation to the Business Finland team for their support and belief in Dexude’s vision, expressing eagerness to proceed with the next phase of the company’s development.

Charles Emembolu shared similar sentiments, expressing his honor and excitement about the funding. He underscored that the financial support validates Dexude’s mission to revolutionize education and stands as a recognition of the team’s hard work and commitment. Emembolu emphasized that with this funding, Dexude is well-positioned to intensify its efforts in making quality education widely accessible and in empowering learners in Nigeria and beyond.
