Nigerian Afrobeat Superstars and powerhouses, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogula professionally known as Burna boy, and Ayodeji Balogun also known as  Wizkid each won a Grammy at the 63rd Grammy Awards.

Burna Boy won Best Global Music Album formerly known as Best World Music Album, for ‘Twice as Tall’ at the Premiere Ceremony of the event.

This marks his first Grammy win after being nominated in the same category in the last edition of the awards.

Burna boy beat fellow nominees Antibalas, Bebel Gilberto, Anoushka Shankar, and Tinariwen to win the award in their category.

Also, Wizkid won Best Music Video for the “Brown Skin Girl” music video alongside Beyonce, Blue Ivy, and SAINt JHN.

The music video for “Brown Skin Girl” was featured in Beyonce’s 2020 film Black Is King and was released separately on August 24, 2020.

In a related development, Blue Ivy becomes the second youngest person to win a Grammy and Beyonce moves closer to becoming the most decorated woman in Grammy history.

A lot of reactions are currently trailing the big wins and below are some:
