    A new platform which aims to mine, generate and visualize data from Nigerian elections has been launched by creative tech company Bizinvent.

    The platform seeks to leverage and help visualize facts, ideas, topics, issues, statistics, queries available in volumes, velocity, veracity and varieties.

    Bizinvent’s Ugochukwu Aboh said: “The project is presently exploring all dimensions of electoral data, analogue, digital data and more which has been overlooked. I think that this data if properly analyzed would help us to interpret history; manage the present; and, plan for the future” said, the data cruncher on the project.

    According to him, a well informed electorate is a pre-requisite for democracy, thus the project wants to look at these three things specifically and more in the electoral chatter;

    He said: “The Past, what happened and what can we learn from it? The present, what is happening and what can be done differently? The future – what might or might not happen and what might we do or not do if this happens, or what be done to prevent this and that from occurring?

    “The focus is also to aid us clearly understand the elections chatter, cutting through the noise and revealing the hidden connections, patterns and the ordinary Nigerian citizen’s dilemma underneath it all which in turn would lead to informed decisions, accurate implementation, transformation and change for a country that has known its fair share of turmoil; drudgery, fraud, insurgence, mass deaths.”
