    Nigeria unveils the Super Eagles Twitter handle

    The Nigeria Football Federation has unveiled its Twitter handle for the Super Eagles.

    The verified handle @NGSuperEagles will provide news, features, videos and updates on the team from Brazil and going forward.

    According to Ademola Olajire, the NFF’s assistant director of media,  “the move represents the NFF’s recognition of the growing influence of social media.”

    The Twitter presence adds to the NFF’s already impressive presence on Google Plus and YouTube (Nigeria Super Eagles) where it provides dedicated and exclusive pictures and videos from the Super Eagles camp.

    Watch Nigeria’s World Cup Team Profile below as they prepare for the 2014 FIFA World Cup holding in Brazil. THe goal this time is to be the first African team to progress past the quarter finals of the competition. The provisional list is made up of the following:

    – GOALKEEPERS: Vincent Enyeama, Austin Ejide, Chigozie Agbim, Daniel Akpeyi;
    – DEFENDERS: Elderson Echiejile, Juwon Oshaniwa, Godfrey Oboabona, Azubuike Egwuekwe, Kenneth Omeruo, Joseph Yobo, Kunle Odunlami, Efe Ambrose;
    – MIDFIELDERS: John Mikel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi, Ramon Azeez, Joel Obi, Nosa Igiebor, Michael Uchebo, Ejike Uzoenyi, Sunday Mba, Reuben Gabriel;
    – FORWARDS: Ahmed Musa, Shola Ameobi, Emmanuel Emenike, Obinna Nsofor, Osaze Odemwingie, Babatunde Michael, Victor Moses, Uche Nwofor, Oduamadi
