    Nigeria Innovation Summit to hold on 26 September in Abuja

    The Nigeria Innovation Summit (www.innovationsummit.ng) in its 3rd year will focus on the theme: “Building a Culture of Innovation in Nigeria for Sustainable Economic Growth”, the Organisers have announced.

    The annual event is a credible forum where government agencies, industry experts, the academia, international organisations, entrepreneurs and others meet to expound the need for the country, businesses, organisations, entrepreneurs in Nigeria to become more innovative and use innovation to drive sustainable development.

    The 2018 edition is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, September 26 at  the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Centre, Abuja, Nigeria.

    Nigeria Innovation Summit(NIS) is a collaborative effort led by Emerging Media and Advertising Services, New York, and Emerging Media Nigeria in  partnership with International Society for Professional Innovation Management,(ISPIM) UK and the Research Institute for Innovation and Sustainability,(RIIS) South Africa.

    The summit over the years has witnessed great participation from organisations, institutions, diplomats and international agencies. The MD/CEO of Emerging Media, Mr. Kenneth Omeruo, describes the Summit as top notch and a unique event that will continue to pinpoint areas Nigeria must embrace innovation  as to move in the direction of digital transformation through the use of Emerging Technologies and Trends, Research, Development, Commercialization, Entrepreneurship and Investments as the key drivers of an innovation ecosystem.

    “This platform creates awareness on the need for Open Innovation and collaboration in Nigeria, and challenges Nigeria to leverage Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship to become more competitive in today’s global economy.

    “We partner with the world’s leading innovation providers from academic community, government and industry in order to connect Nigerian businesses and innovators to global innovation ecosystems”.

    The programme coordinator, Mr. Tony Ajah, also, said the key features of the Nigeria Innovation Summit 2018 are the Keynote Presentations and Panel Discussions from Industry/Business Leaders, Government,Diplomats, Investors, International Organisations, Top Entrepreneurs, CEOs, and Innovation Managers across the world and across the focus sectors.

    “Over 1000 delegates are expected to attend this year’s Summit and it offers organisations a platform to connect with these top decision makers, cutting across all sectors of Nigeria’s economy.

    “The Nigeria Innovation Awards is another feature of the Summit, which recognizes and promotes States, Ministries, Companies, Organisations, Institutions, and Innovators that have embraced innovation to move Nigeria forward” Mr. Ajah added.

    Participation is free, businesses and organisations are encouraged to leverage the summit.
