The Nigeria Football Association (NFA) has announced that it is partnering with search giant, Google for online activities for the senior national team, the Super Eagles.
This is contained in a statement issued by the NFA Media Officer, Ademola Olajire, in Abuja on Thursday. The statement stated that the Chairman of the Marketing Committee, Mr Deji Tinubu, said that the project was already making impact.
“The Super Eagles are now active on the social media and have official presence on Google and YouTube.
“Fans can follow them on www.google.com/+SuperEagles and www.youtube.com/NigeriaSuperEagles, for exclusive updates,” Tinubu said.
Tinubu said the project would serve as publicity platform for the team’s international players.
“Launching of a landing page on Google+, which is also connected to YouTube Channel, will in the medium and long term serve as a principal publicity platform for our international players.
“The platform is really meant for our players in the Super Eagles and other National Teams to follow their supporters on their feelings and comments.
“It will also help with the media campaign at major championships,” he said.
