Nigerian-based logistics firm Kobo360 has announced its plans for expansion into East Africa, beginning with Kenya.
Kobo360 co-founder Ife Oyedele said at the past Africa CEO Forum in Kigali, “Kenya is the hub of East Africa, it is the most innovative market in Technology, and if we win here, we have succeeded across the region. From here we will expand to Uganda and Tanzania.”
To achieve the expansion, the firm will partner with International Finance Corporation and TLcom. The expansion drive seeks to establish a strong global operating logistic operating system, to ensure faster movement of goods at a lower cost for businesses across Africa.

The firm’s expansion comes at a time when the African Union is fronting for the Continental Free Trade Area. A move which could see Africa become a single market for goods and services produced within the region.
The firm has also set off on plans to set up other branches in Togo & Ghana, in a bid to cement its foothold in its initial market in the West Africa region.
