    @NGRPresident is Nigeria’s President Buhari Official Twitter Account

    President Muhammadu Buhari who was inaugurated into office on 29 May, 2015 now has an official Twitter account for the office of the President.

    President Buhari’s campaign team used social media effectively especially Twitter during the campaign to garner support for their candidate using the account @MBuhari. As a President, he will now connect with the people he leads with his new account, @NGRPresident.

    You can now follow the Office of the President on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram @NGRPresident #NewNigeria

    The account is verified, and has over 25 thousand followers at the time of writing. The account follows Buhari’s personal account, his wife Aisha Buhari’s account, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, amongst others.

    It is not clear if the account will be transferred to future Nigeria presidents after the President has exhausted his tenure.
