Skype has just offered its users an exciting new update; sharing photos offline and using other applications during a call. This multitasking ability for Android was unveiled yesterday.
Previously, Skype only enabled tablet users to access other apps while on a call. Skype 5.2 is also supposed to speed up load times and improve call quality.
With this updated version, you can now send photos even when your friends are offline. Skype wants users to be able to use the application as they would any other messenger — and that means you shouldn’t have to depend on your friends being online in order to send messages and share photos.
This Android update comes just after the company announced an iPhone update yesterday morning. Skype returned support for URI’s (uniform resource identifiers) on iPhone, giving iPhone users the opportunity to make Skype their default calling app.
