Twitter has announced new advanced filters that allow users to mute notifications on accounts that don’t follow you.
Interestingly, Twitter now has six filters in all, and you can enable as many or as few of them as you choose.
In a statement, Twitter said there is “nothing to share yet on how well the existing mute options have been working and did not say how long new Twitter users will need to use the social network before the new account filter stops blocking them.
“For much of our safety work, we can’t share too many details or people will try to game the system.”
This new update is in a bid to allow users to have more control of their accounts and at the same time check the activities of trolls.
