TikTok is testing a new “watch history” feature, and according to reports, this will help users easily locate a video they previously watched without having to like it, save it for later, or download it to their device. Hammod Oh was the first to spot the new feature before social media expert Matt Navarra made it public on Twitter. Hammod Oh and Matt Navarra, both, have been known to uncover new features that are currently being tested by various social media platforms.
We still don’t know much about the Watch History page or how users will be able to see videos they’ve already watched. A look at the “For You” page on the app shows that TikTok pushes a fresh set of content almost all the time, and so it is common for users to accidentally refresh and lose videos before they can “like” them. With the addition of this possible feature, this problem will be solved.
With TikTok not being able to provide a Watch History tab, many have tried to use hacks to find recently watched videos. Though there are some hacks available, these cannot be compared to having a straightforward button you can simply tap and watch a video you missed accidentally.
With TikTok not being able to provide a Watch History tab, many have tried to use hacks to find recently watched videos. Though there are some hacks available, these cannot be compared to having a straightforward button you can simply tap and watch a video you missed accidentally. In one procedure, you restrict your search results based on the videos you’ve already watched, while in another, you must download all of your TikTok data in order to find a single video is downloaded.
If TikTok is successful in implementing this feature, it will save users a significant amount of time and no need for hacks.
