The latest update to the Nova launcher ( version 4.3-beta2 ) introduces new system-wide Night Mode and a better tool for customizing the search bar, as well as the usual bug fixes. Nova launcher, one of Android’s third party launcher has been around for quite sometime. Its so easy to use with the options of using Lollipop or the latest Marshmallow interface. This new night mode has its own dedicated option in the main settings menu, and you can have it automatically switch on at sunset and switch off at sunrise, or tell it to follow the system method, or have it switch on always. For more accuracy, you could turn on your current GPS location in automatic mode.
You also have a slew of customization options in this Beta2 for your desktop search bar. Under Nova Settings, click on Desktop, tap the Search Bar Style and you’ll find a selection of logo options that include the old and new look Google fonts, a widget color selector, and three bar styles to pick from.
If you want to download it, you will need to be part of the beta testing program. After that you can either turn on beta updates in the regular Nova app or download the APK here. It may take a couple of hours for your beta opt-in to be processed, but one it is, you are free to download the beta app directly from Google Play.
