A new location-based dating app has been launched to allow users to meet, chat, mingle and date. According to the founder of the app, Rejoice Chukwuma, Toast is a new dating and matchmaking app that aims to connect users who want to initiate friendships or relationships with people near them in Africa.

He aims to make the app to become Africa’s best premium dating and matchmaking app where people can “discover the people they’d crossed paths with earlier”, “send them a toast to show interest in them and if they reply, it’s a Toast!

A cool feature of the app is that is allows a user to discover a person he or she had probably seen at the mall earlier in the day – which is a vital reason to be on toast. With the app, users can meet people and make real connections, as regards friendship and initiating relationships.

Adaobi Felix is the app’s Community Manager, and he said the current toast app which is the first version works perfectly.

“It has features such as Discover People Nearby which shows people around you in real-time as you cross paths. Ghost Mode where a user can go incognito and chat only with the people they’ve liked and Toasted, an area to keep all the friends you have liked,” he told TechMoran.

It has a chat feature that allows users to chat with their matches via its messenger platform; the Visitors feature also lets users know those who viewed their profiles. There is also a Gift Store that allows users to send others charm to get noticed quickly.

They claim that user data is 100% safe and confidential and users cannot be tracked.
