Apple is scheduled to unveil the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus on September 7th but this doesn’t stop leaked photos of the upcoming handsets from hitting the internet.
Japanese website MacOtakara has shared an image showing the different SIM card trays for the upcoming iPhone 7. The image shows the four traditional colours we are already used to, along with a new glossy black colour.
The website had previously speculated that Apple would be offering the iPhone 7 in a deep blue shade but while a black iPhone 7 will definitely look really cool, it seems unlikely that Apple will use a glossy finish because that will make the handset a fingerprint magnet but who knows, the rumour could be authentic since Mac Otakara has a pretty solid track record on leaks and rumours of upcoming devices. Although we’d recommend our readers to take this leak with a pinch of salt.
As we wait for the unveiling of the new handsets, we’d probably get to see a slight design change for the physical body of the new devices, featuring slightly thinner frames, also a redesigned antenna bands, and might perhaps be water-resistance at some level.
