When it comes to the special edition of the iPhone that is expected this year, rumours are still not in the least agreed. Is the device at all coming before the winter, if so under what name and with what functions? At the heart of the discussion, the touch-ID fingerprint sensor has been in the spotlight in the last few weeks. There are alleged problems with the integration of this in a full-surface display and Apple is, therefore, planning to place the sensor on the back. This opinion is also reflected by a newly published study by the financial consultants CLSA. Information from the production environment suggests that Apple will place the sensor on the back of the new iPhone.
Basically, the sensor on the rear of the device does not have to be a deterioration. Different Android phones work according to this principle and placed in the right place, the sensor here can also be quite comfortable. In most cases, a finger is already on the back of the device. There are, of course, problems in the interplay with sleeves, which must then have an additional recess for the finger. The CLSA analysts have packed their ideas into the graphic embedded below. The sensor would be centrally located on the back, underneath the Apple logo.

The iPhone 8 is to improve the audio quality and water resistance. Already the iPhone 7 is indeed equipped with two speakers, which held in the transverse format for the opposite of the previous models and clearly better sound in stereo. Apple wanted to improve the sound quality of the second loudspeaker integrated into the “earpiece”. Also, the new device is to be permanently waterproof, the iPhone 7 is protected to the standard IPX7 only up to 30 minutes, the iPhone 8 will come with the IPX8 standard for protection during the complete immersion indefinitely.
Apple could attach the new AirPods to the new iPhone, according to sources. An expectation that sounds very unlikely at the moment. Not only because of the price of the earphones with a very high price of $159, but also because of the fact that Apple has not been able to produce sufficient quantities so far, to cover the orders in the single purchase.
