Great news when I heard that Netflix has launched in Nigeria.
The CEO, Reed Hastings, announced this yesterday at his keynote address at the ongoing CES 2016
“Today, I am delighted to announce that while we have been here on stage at CES, we switched Netflix in Azerbaijan, in Vietnam, in India, in Nigeria, in Poland, in Russia, in Saudi Arabia, in Singapore, in South Korea, in Turkey, in Indonesia, and in 130 new countries.”
Here are the simple steps for you to get your own Netflix account and you can use your debit card if you don’t have a credit card or Paypal account.
I have signed up for my own account and I have one month free trial. To sign up for your own account, follow the simple steps below:
- Go to Netflix.com. It will automatically recognise your location and change the URL to http://www.netflix.com/ng/
I clicked on the tab – “Start Your Free Month”
Choose the plan that you want. I started with the Basic plan which is $7.99.
Register by providing your email address and password.
I provided all the details. You can use your debit card if you do not have a credit card. Only VISA, Mastercard and Amex are allowed for now. Guess the Interswitch team (Mitchell Elegbe and Charles Ifedi) will be contacting Netflix to include Verve Cards.
You now have a Netflix account. You can now decide who can enjoy Netflix.
For now, I have chosen me, myself and I. Happy Viewing.
After choosing three movies that I like it will now find related movies and titles that I want.
Note that Netflix is data dependent and your are actually streaming. So watch your data costs.
Remember you can cancel before the 30 day free trial if you do not want to continue.
Happy viewing.
