Netflix has launched a new feature called Profile Transfer that enables people using another user’s account to transfer a profile, keeping the personalized recommendations, viewing history, My List, saved games, and other settings when they start their own membership.
This new, much-requested feature will roll out to all members around the world starting today. Users will be notified by email as soon as Profile Transfer becomes available on their accounts.
To transfer a profile, go to the “Transfer Profile” option when you hover over your profile icon in the dropdown menu on the homepage — then simply follow the instructions.
You can always turn off Profile Transfer in your account settings anytime.
Netflix has over time rolled out features to help its members enjoy the best experience on the video streaming platform. In April, Netflix rolled out a feature to its platform called Category Hub to enable its members around the world to easily find their favorite genres and discover new categories of films, series, and specials, all in one place.
Last month, it rolled out a new feature that will enable members of its community to create game handles for a more personalized gameplay experience. In 2021, the platform introduced a new feature that allows its members worldwide to remove a TV show or movie from their ‘Continue Watching’ row on all devices, including TV, with the click of a button.
