    NBC bans Olamide’s Shakiti Bobo, Davido’s Fans Mi, and several other songs

    The Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has banned some of the most popular songs in Nigeria. The list includes Olamide’s Shakiti Bobo, Davido’s hit song Fans Mi which also featured American rapper Meek Mill.

    The list also include Gift, a song by Iyanya featuring Don Jazzy. According to the NBC, the songs have at least one of these: obscene video, drug trafficking, vulgar lyrics and violence. With this development, the songs will no longer be aired on Nigerian airwaves – TV or radio. The ban does not extend to online streaming and you can still watch them on foreign channels.

    I’m still wondering why they decided to Shakiti Bobo. The video which was released in May 2015 has been watched more than 2 million times. How come they are just banning it now? Check out the video below.
