Naraka: BLADEPOINT is an action-adventure battle-royale game, where players get to choose between eight different classes and fight head-to-head against their opponents as they try to come out as the only survivor. Naraka: BLADEPOINT is a game that took battle-royale games to a new level, as most of the games of this genre mainly focus on having players fight using guns while miles away from their opponents, Naraka: BLADEPOINT makes it that players have to fight in close quarter combats with their swords. Here in this article, you will learn how to dominate the battlefield as Yoto Hime.
Yoto Hime 101
Every single character in Naraka: BLADEPOINT has its strengths and weaknesses, and to be able to fully master one of them can prove to be challenging, especially if you’re not used to this genre of game. Yoto Hime is a hero that focuses mainly on overwhelming her opponents with raw strength, making her trade her mobility for brute force. All of her skills work to make her even stronger, as they will buff her, and deal massive damage to her opponents. In combat, you will use her abilities Spirit Slash and Ominous Blade to control the fight. With Spirit Slash, Yoto Hime will launch a spinning blade that blocks any incoming non-explosive projectiles, and it will keep spinning in the air for a while when it reaches its max range. What makes this ability amazing, is not only the fact that it blocks some projectiles, but Yoto Hime can also teleport to her blade and hit her enemy with an additional strike. Defeating an opponent will reset the cooldown of Spirit Slash, and it can be reset six times during 30 seconds.
Her other ability Ominous Blade summons an enormous blade that will automatically strike three times, she can also throw the sword after it strikes and teleport to it. This skill is great for keeping your opponent on their toes because at any given moment you can teleport to the sword, and completely change the direction from where you’re attacking. This ability also takes advantage of defeated opponents, as it absorbs all nearby Cairns and by doing so increases Yoti Hime’s attacks, making her deadlier the more she fights.
Each of these two abilities also has variations, that can be unlocked by completing her Cultivation quests. There are two variations for both skills, Slash Vortex can turn into Slash Vortex: Crush, which lets the thrown blade stay in the air for more time, and it can also be recalled granting an additional slash. However, this variation removes the ability to reset its cooldown. The other variation is Slash Vortex: Spirit, which slows down the thrown blade, and it now can also block melee attacks, however, it does not grant an extra slash. Ominous Blade variations are called Ominous Blade: Restore, that now instead of absorbing Cairns to grant bonus attack, it will grant Yoto Hime health and armor, making it easier for her to stay alive during combat. The other variation is called Ominous Blade: Combo, and with this variation, the ability no longer grants any bonuses by absorbing Cairns, but you get three strikes that can be launched in a reduced version of the Ominous Blade, which grants your extra attacks.
Best Variations to Use
Yoto Hime’s abilities are great at both dealing huge amounts of damage, while also granting her buffs to aid her in combat. The best combination to use with her at the moment is to use the regular version of her Spirit Slash, and use the Ominous Blade: Restore variation. When in combat, fights won’t always go as how you planned it, and if you find yourself fighting against multiple enemies, the Restoration variation of the Ominous Blade will help you stay alive during fights, as you might not get the chance to quickly run away and heal. Pairing this with the default Spirit Slash, will make you almost unstoppable during combat, as the more enemies you defeat, the stronger you will be, and by doing so will also reset Spirit Slash cooldown.
With this, Yoto Hime will be pretty much unstoppable during combat, as there are not many other heroes who can stop her. But you might find yourself in a more dangerous situation if you go against a player using Viper Nang, as she has an ability that stops other heroes from using their abilities for some time. This can prove dangerous at certain times, but taking advantage of your teleporting abilities should help you keep the upper hand during combat, as that will make it hard for your enemies to keep track of you.
Yoto Hime isn’t the easiest character to learn how to play, but if you put in an extra effort to discover how to properly use her, you will be a huge menace in every game. Naraka: BLADEPOINT is a game where mobility is of extreme importance, and since Yoto Hime is a character that has brute strength in exchange for mobility, some players might have a rough time adapting to how she plays. But if you’re confident in your skills, you might be able to get comfortable playing with Yoto Hime rather quickly.
Naraka: BLADEPOINT is a free game, and you can download and play it on Steam, on your Xbox Series X, or if you were lucky enough to buy a PS5, you can also download it at the PlayStation Store. The game came out recently, so it is expected that it will receive a lot of updates in the future.
