Our sources say Simeon Ononobi, (Spouse) Co-Founder Madonna Ononobi and long time friend and also a Co-Founder Suraj Supekar have developed a new innovative solution that enables anyone with an android (data-enabled phone) to get rewarded while interacting with an advert shown on your phone incoming call screen. They call it MyAds and we hear they have signed a mouth-watering deal with Telco Giant, Airtel Nigeria, to launch the service across all Airtel Phones.
Innovation Village gathered that Airtel will call its own version of the MyAds App (MyAds PAY) which will be found on the Google android play store. Also it’s been noted that Airtel will be giving the app for free and the app will not consume any data, but rather reward users of the app with Airtime from using the app. You want to see it, download the “MyAds PAY” on your Airtel Android Smart phone and you surely will be hooked.
This solution takes advertising to another level as it is a new channel for Corporate bodies to promote their goods and services directly to their customers via their phones. And what’s more, there is an incentive for mobile phone users to view these adverts as they stand to get rewarded with airtime as they do so.
Madonna was also quoted as saying, “This is just the beginning; what MyAds will bring to the Tech space is really going to change the way people feel innovation should be in Nigeria. It’s the first of its kind in the world and we hope to see great things from this lot.”
