Major Nigerian telecoms company Airtel has announced it has launched a secure Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) network for its corporate customers.

With this feat, Airtel said it aims to facilitate superior and cost-effective branch connectivity both locally and globally.

The MPLS combines the intelligence of private Internet Protocol (IP) routing with the added performance of label switching. Airtel said MPLS enables enterprise customers with several branches to communicate with other employees and branches seamlessly.

The service is aimed at all sizes of company.
