Angola Cables has launched Angola Cables Cloud Sevice for the African market. The company Angola Cables has been working on a subsea cable between South America and Africa.
The multinational telecommunications operator of fiber-optic telecommunication cables company initiated its advanced Tier III AngoNAP data center facility in Fortaleza, Brazil.
The subsea cable run by Angola Cables between Africa and South America went live towards the end of 2018.
Antonio Nunes, CEO of Angola Cables said, “The Angola Cables Cloud Service offering is a very robust, yet flexible platform that offers on-demand hardware and software resources, accelerated processing and cloud allocated storage that can be accessed anywhere in the world – even by mobile phone.
“Given Africa’s high number of mobile subscribers, Cloud-based applications offer the opportunity to adopt and embrace evolving digital technologies that can advance economic development and cultural change.
“We are already seeing a steady increase in investments being made by governments, banking and financial institutions and other businesses on the continent in using the Cloud to deliver more secure, user-friendly applications and services to their customers.”
The Company’s cloud service is accessible through the AngoNAP data centers in Angola’s capital city of Luanda and AngoNAP Fortaleza Tier III in Brazil with direct linkages to the low latency South Atlantic (SACS) and Monet cable systems within scalable, secure, co-location environments.
Africa’s utilization of cloud services has grown in recent times despite the problems of slow and erratic internet connectivity according to world Wide Worx’s research report titled Cloud Africa 2018.
Nunes said, “Given the flexibility of our infrastructure and the ultra-low latency routings available across our subsea cable network, we are in an ideal position to assist and support companies with their cloud migration and the digital transformation of their enterprises.”
