MTN has announced an agreement with Africa’s biggest grocer, Shoprite Retail Supermarkets. Under the partnership, telecoms subscribers will be able to access and enjoy the network’s products and services at all Shoprite outlets nationwide.
This according to the network is in furtherance of its drive to enhance service delivery to its customers across the country.
‘Tsola Barrow, MTN sales and distribution executive, said the partnership is a product of the network’s commitment to exploring different ways of bringing its services closer to its customers.
“The MTN-Shoprite partnership is built around providing our customers with a good shopping experience by providing airtime within the environment where they shop for their groceries and personal items,” Barrow said.
Mubanga Muche, financial director, Shoprite Retail Supermarkets, Nigeria, said by partnering with MTN, Shoprite will be able offer more products under one roof which he said is the vision of the retailer.
“We are very excited about this partnership as we continue to improve on the shopping experience of our customers. Customers can practically do all their shopping under one roof, including purchasing airtime with so much ease,” Muche said.
“MTN is committed to exploring different avenues of taking its services closer to customers while improving customer service. With MTN at the top of its game and Shoprite as the brand of choice in retail outlets for many consumers, we believe this is a win-win situation for both organizations,” Barrow added.
