MTN Cameroon recently announced the launch of Chenosis, a comprehensive, pan-African platform featuring a plethora of industry APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). This platform serves as a marketplace that accommodates developers, entrepreneurs, and various corporations, and grants them entry into an expanding library of open interfaces.
Chenosis offers a broad variety of API products and services in numerous sectors including telecoms, healthcare, governmental bodies, financial institutions, entertainment, and others. The platform was launched by MTN with the aim of it becoming the largest open API library in Africa. This development was communicated to stakeholders of the country’s digital ecosystem in Yaounde, the national capital.
As per MTN’s statement, Chenosis will supply an assortment of technology choices that will enable businesses to develop novel applications with minimal or no coding required. Yolanda Kope Mbalu, Chenosis’ Go-to-market general manager, noted that their main mission is to simplify life for various industries, developers, and SMEs through their marketplace.
