MTN’s latest innovation known as MTN mPulse has been launched to enable teens between the ages of 9-15 learn and gain useful skills while having fun.
mPulse is a service from MTN which equips young Nigerians between the ages of 9 and 15 with all the resources they need to maximize their potential and be all they want to be. The service has two features: the mPulse tariff and the mPulse website.

There are 2 special data plans which students on mPulse tariff can buy to access the mPulse website:
- 350MB for N50 (weekly plan)
- 1.2GB for N150 (Monthly plan)
How to Migrate to MTN mPulse Tariff Plan
There are three ways you can activate this plan on your device;

- Send ‘mPulse’ to 131 or…
- Download MyMTNApp, go to tariff plan and select mPulse
The mPulse tariff gives students lots of freebies including: N200 airtime birthday gift, Data Bonus and free WhatsApp for 7 days. Students can join the mPulse tariff from a new or existing MTN SIM. Parents can link their child’s numbers (which are on mPulse tariff plan) to theirs and set automatic weekly or monthly airtime and data transfers to them.
During the launch of the new project, the MTN transformed the venue into an impressive wonderland tagged “mPulse Planet,” providing attendees with lots of memorable attractions and activities which included a Virtual Reality masterclass facilitated by a 13-year-old, JSS3 student, Obaloluwa Odelana.
Often referred to as the youngest hyper-realism artist in Africa, Kareem Waris Olamilekan of Waspa Art also inspired children at the event with his talents. Speaking at the launch, the General Manager, Consumer Marketing, Oluwole Rawa said,
“We always seek to proffer innovative and relevant solutions that enable our customers to connect with their tomorrow. This platform does precisely that, providing a controlled environment where our youngsters can explore and learn more, and have fun while doing it.
It was gathered that the mPulse package comes with a voice plan and a fun, educative website which hosts a wide variety of courses and study aids to help children from Primary 1 to SS3 excel academically. The portal also provides a bouquet of single and multiplayer games as well as life skill videos ranging from computer programming, fashion designing, medicine, blogging, engineering, writing, data science and motivational speaking.
The mPulse website provides resources for primary, junior and senior secondary school students to develop their strengths and passions. It features certified preparation materials and past questions for Common Entrance, JSCE, WAEC, JAMB, Post UME, intellectual games and a wide array of skill development tutorial videos.
The Portal has built-in parental controls. Once a child is signed up, the registered parent/guardian can track and control what the child is accessing on the Internet. With the launch of MTN mPulse, the telecommunication company is giving parents and guardians more ways to equip the next generation
