Motorolas flip phone suddenly resurfaces and gives us a date so we’ll take this almost as a confirmation that Motorola will be coming out with a major announcement on June 9, 2016.
June 9 also happens to be the day when Motorola owner Lenovo will be holding a big press event.
This news has brought with it plenty of excitement on social media sites. But nothing else is known about Motorolas plans with the flip phone.
The new Razr will obviously run a modern OS. Possible Android, except the company has something up their sleeves but I hightly doubt that.
All this excitement over the possible return of Motorola Razr, brings us to other flip phones on the market. If Motorola Razr does enjoy a revival, it wouldnt be the first flip phone to rise from the ashes. Companies like Freetel, Alcatel and Kyocera recently unveiled their flip phones running the latest operating systems.
All this talk on flip phones takes me back to the days when I owned a Motorola V50 flip phone many years ago. That was actually my first phone even before the Razr came into existence but I do miss the flip phone because theres something satisfying about snapping shut a flip phone.
We dont know what this device will look like, perhaps it could be as slim as Motorola Razr was but we’ll keep you posted if details of this device comes to light.
