The Moroccan-based startup Userguest, known for its innovative platform that assists hotels in maximizing their direct revenues, has successfully secured a seed funding round of EUR2.2 million (US$2.4 million). This financial milestone is set to propel the company into a phase of rapid expansion and further development of its product offerings.

Launched in 2018, Userguest has developed a fully automated solution designed to enhance the direct revenue streams of hotels through their websites. It achieves this by delivering personalized messages and smart incentives to site visitors, thereby optimizing conversion rates.

The seed funding round, amounting to EUR2.2 million (US$2.4 million), was spearheaded by Al Mada Ventures and saw participation from a consortium of investors including CDG Invest, Saviu Ventures, UM6P Ventures, Kalys VC, Plug & Play, as well as notable business angels Philippe Limes and Thane Kuhlman.

Hicham Benyebdri, co-founder of Userguest, expressed his gratitude for the investment, highlighting it as a testament to the investors’ faith in the company’s vision. He emphasized the company’s achievements in establishing a strong market presence and gaining the trust of leading hotel brands. With this new influx of capital, Userguest is poised to reach new heights, aiming to enhance hotel performance and user experience, thereby serving the interests of both hoteliers and travelers.

Userguest has already made its mark in over 30 countries, generating upwards of US$100 million in direct revenue for hotels since 2019. The primary objective of this funding round is to fuel the company’s growth trajectory and to roll out new, cutting-edge features and products. A significant portion of the investment will be allocated to expanding the sales team, enabling Userguest to deepen its market penetration and reinforce its standing as a leading entity in optimizing direct revenue for hotels.

Yassine Soual from Al Mada Ventures shared his enthusiasm for leading the investment round, praising Userguest for its remarkable growth, dedication to innovation, and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. He expressed confidence that the funding would catalyze Userguest’s expansion and empower the company to continue delivering unparalleled value in the hospitality technology sector.
