Microsoft Teams Will Soon Be Available on Microsoft Store

Because of the growing popularity of its video-streaming platform, Microsoft included Teams integration to its current Windows 11 platform. However, if you want to download the “traditional” version of Teams, you’ll need to visit the company’s official website. That may soon change, as Microsoft has stated that Teams will be accessible on the official Microsoft Store soon. The following are the specifics.

Microsoft Teams to be Available on Microsoft Store soon

Microsoft has updated its Microsoft 365 roadmap, revealing that Teams will be available for purchase in the Microsoft Store in May 2022. It will be available for both Windows 10 and Windows 11 users, making it very simple and convenient for them to install it on their PCs or laptops.

However, the app will be slightly different for users of Windows 10 and Windows 11. Because Windows 10 lacks Teams integration, unlike its successor, Windows 11 will support work, school, and personal accounts. Only work and school accounts will be supported in Windows 11.

In addition, it has been disclosed that Microsoft is testing a new version of Teams for Macs using Apple processors. The Microsoft Teams website now has a beta version accessible for download.

Microsoft has been upgrading Teams in order to make it a more feature-rich collaboration software for consumers. Late last year, the business enabled end-to-end encryption (E2EE) for one-to-one talks on Teams, as well as support for its new Fluent emojis. As part of a new Mesh for Teams project, the software now has 3D avatars and virtual spaces.

As a result, putting it on the Microsoft Store is a wise decision, and something we would have expected a long time ago! However, you should be aware that Teams was previously available in the Microsoft Store, but it was only for Windows 10 users.

In terms of Teams’ availability on the Microsoft Store, the firm has yet to announce a specific release date. Microsoft has also announced that numerous additional features will be added to the app, including the option to force everyone in a meeting to see Together Mode and support for other languages for suggested replies on mobile.

There’s no information on when these enhancements and adjustments will be available on Teams; it might happen this month or next, or it could be postponed!
