Yesterday, Microsoft introduced a new Surface laptop along its new Windows 10 S.
In fact, the device runs on Windows 10 S and Windows 10 S works exclusively with apps from the Windows Store. However if you prefer to run non-Store apps, you can easily switch to Windows 10 Pro for free (only until Dec 31, 2017). There is a 1 year introductory offer for Office 365 Personal.
It has a 13.5″ PixelSense display with resolution of 2256 x 1504 (201 PPI) and Aspect ratio 3:2. It is Surface Pen enabled. It is a touch screen and the glass is Corning Gorilla Glass
The processor is 7th Gen Intel Core i5 or i7 to handle demanding desktop programs and the memory can be 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB RAM.

Microsoft claims it has a battery life of up to 14.5 hours video playback but we know that battery life varies significantly with settings, usage and other factors.
The Surface Laptop is sleek and elegant. It weighs 1.25kg and its dimensions are 12.13″ x 8.79″ x .57″ (308.02 mm x 223.20 mm x 14.47 mm). It has a luxurious Alcantara fabric-covered keyboard and its omnisonic speakers provide Dolby Audio Premium sound.
It will be available in stores in June in four different colours – Platinum, Burgundy, Cobalt Blue, and Graphite Gold.
It is priced at $999 per unit
