    Microsoft acquires Sunrise calendar app

Microsoft has acquired calendar app, Sunrise. Sunrise beautiful interface and its integration with other services like Evernote is what has made it a favourite for me and many others.

Fortunately, Sunrise announced on its blog that its apps will continue to remain free, while Microsoft confirmed the acquisition with a blog post affirming that the app will remain free and the reason for the acquisition is because it believes a redesign of the way people use calendars on mobile is way overdue.

Unconfirmed rumors state the transaction to be worth $100 million.
