Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) opens incubators spaces in Lagos, Nigeria and Cape Town, South Africa. MEST is a Pan-African training program, seed fund and incubator which started off in Accra, Ghana.
The Lagos incubator opened its doors yesterday (21st November), led by general manager Neku Atawodi-Edun and it is located at 19b Adeyemi Lawson, Ikoyi. The incubator located in Cape Town will open tomorrow (23rd November) at former Cape Town Garage, located in the Woodstock Exchange on Albert Road, taking over the space and welcoming the existing community.
Both incubators will serve as an extension of the MEST Accra headquarters and the facilities will offer entrepreneurs support, mentorship and resources as well as co-working facilities.
In a recent press release, the managing director Aaron Fu said; “We’re extremely excited to enter the Nigerian and South African markets with the launch of our new incubator spaces. Lagos and Cape Town are home to an enormous amount of ambitious tech talent with massive potential.”
“We also look forward to welcoming companies from the larger local community to join our Pan-African network of like-minded entrepreneurs,”
Fu recently joined the MEST team as Managing Director, from NEST.vc.
