Mercedes Benz South Africa has established an Information Technology (IT) hub, focusing on data analytics, software development, and business analysts.

The new IT Hub is one of three within the IT Mercedes-Benz Car operations, which will work closely with the different center of competence (COC) divisions in Germany to provide system solutions for manufacturing operations in production, supply chain and maintenance services to support the entire global Daimler network.

The other two IT Hubs are responsible for IT engineering and quality solutions and based in India and Spain, respectively.

“Mercedes-Benz South Africa has a vested interest in the growth and development of South Africa as a center of excellence in information technology.“

The digitization strategy pursued at MBSA’s parent company, Daimler, offers innovation opportunities for enhancing efficiencies, customer benefits, and enterprise value.

As a company, MBSA will continue to support the socio-economic development of the region through our manufacturing operations alongside the establishment of new job opportunities, new skills and competencies brought about by the changes in technology and mobility through the IT Hub.
