Even though it is touted as the fitness wearable for the casual excerciser, the Samsung Gear IconX is a beauty that can be used anytime. This wireless set of earbuds was launched yesterday with the Samsung Gear Fit2.
The Samsung Gear IconX enables tracking of fitness data such as distance, speed, duration, heart rate and calories burned, and easily syncs with S Health.
Weighing at 6.3g per earbud, it is 18.9 (W) x 26.0 (D) mm. It comes with a storage case that doubles as the charger so you can power your Gear IconX while it’s resting. Each earbud plays music independently from the other and they stay in sync with each other with their own Bluetooth connection. The buds have touch-controls on the surface of the buds for volume controls and activating a workout coach. You can turn on ambient sound mode to hear your surroundings.
Here are some other highlights:
- Provides a lightweight, secure and comfortable fit with three different sizes of eartips and wingtips, and can be activated by simply placing the earbuds in the user’s ears
- Includes a Voice Guide feature that provides instant voice feedback on the user’s workout progress and provides a standalone music listening experience
- With Bluetooth capability and an internal storage of 4GB that can play up to 1,000 MP3s, users can simply tap or swipe the earbuds to easily control the music
