The Seedstars ship is docking at Harare on Sunday, the 30th of October for the first time ever.
Twelve startups have been invited to pitch in front of an investment panel and compete to be crowned the most promising seed-stage startup of Seedstars Harare 2016. The winning startup will join the global Seedstars Family and take part in the regional and global Seedstars Summits that include our tried and tested bootcamp and investor forum. It’s a catalytic platform for high growth emerging market startups.
The 12 startups that are selected to participate at the Seedstars World pitching event are:
- BizeX: online networking platform connecting innovative entrepreneurs and their ventures to essential resources – promoting SMEs and Startups to become large dynamic companies
- Dr CADx: a computer aided diagnostic system to help doctors diagnose medical images more accurately.
- Hurudza Africa: a farming mobile platform that gives farmers information regarding their various agricultural activities.
- Hurukuro: provision of Agro-Informatics and Agro Value Chain linkage services for Africa and other Developing Countries.
- Ignite Africa: company aims to unlock potential for all, using technology as a catalyst through 3D bio-technology.
- iFarm: an access platform connecting Farmers to the entire value chain through apps, drones, sensors, RFID and mobile soil analysis.
- MoneySmart: An application that provides Interactive content- budget planner, goal planner, calculators, Web-based content- savings, investment and financial management knowledge.
- PENYA Finance: Inclusive financial services for marginalized youth using an agent-based network approach.
- Potea: An automated crowd-sourced lost and found network.
- Road Rules Solutions: A mobile application revolutionising the way people acquire drivers licenses in Africa
- Round Technologies: a B2B e-commerce platform that allows tuck-shops to order stock directly from manufacturers, by-passing wholesalers
- Zivai: provides web-based and hands on STEM skills in electronics,design and programming to early learners in developing nations.
